Miramare e Castello {Ischia, italy}

Traveling to Italy never falls short of amazing. This time around I heard so many lovely things about Ischia so we decided to take the long trip to see this sweet little island. We arrived in Rome after our 8 hour direct flight. Since Rome had the only nonstop flight, we took the train down to Naples. The ride was actually pleasant and nice to see the country side. From Naples we hopped on a boat to Ischia and the excitement grew as we approached the island.

As we walked into Miramare e Castello hotel the sheer curtain leading out to the sea breezed effortlessly to greet us. I felt like we stepped into heaven. We were greeted by lovely staff, including Agnese Sasso whom we booked the trip with. As we entered our room a sweet dish of cookies and prosecco welcomed us. Denise and I popped that immediately. The room was spacious including the bathroom. If you have travelled to Europe you will know how truly rare a large bathroom is. Our room looked out to a sea view and included a canopy bed to lounge on after a long day in the sun.

This hotel is an absolute must if visiting. From the delightful atmosphere to the simple rooftop dining. We spent the next 3 days touring the castle, eating at the port, sun bathing and getting pampered at the spa. As the days came to a close we relized we didnt have a chance to see the thermal baths. Which only gave a definite reason to plan the next trip to Ischia.

The beautiful island of Ischia had more to offer than we could possibly see in just a few days. Staying at the Miramare e Castello was exquisite and will certainly be the place of choice when visiting. Anxiously we are already planning a time to return.
