Ringing In The New Year at Market 17

I headed to Fort Lauderdale for New Years to get a little sunshine. We didn't have a plan for New Years Eve and as I began searching for dinner spots all were booked, as was expected. I decided to do one last look on Opentable.com to see if there were any reservations at all and Market 17 popped up for 9:45pm. A little on the late side but when I read it was an organic farm to table restaurant I clicked yes for the reservation.
It turned out to be a wonderful night. The menu was price fixed for NYE, but each course was better than the next. I started with a prosecco before being seated. We were then walked to our table outside to enjoy the warm weather. The menu had a special little story about all the foods that brought good luck for the New Year. I snapped a pic here for my instagram. I ordered a salad with 12 grapes. My second course was lobster.

Absolutely delicious and plenty of meat. While we waited for dessert to arrive, warm chocolate cake and strawberry shortcake, the music played. They had a DJ for the night and passed out traditional Happy New Year tiara's and top hats. I obviously was excited to wear mine. It was a wonderful and delicious way to ring in 2015.
