Escape To a Sizzling Tropical Destination 4 Hours from NYC
Turks and Caicos is located south of the Bahamas and is easily accessible from all major airports in the tri-state area. Most with direct flights, allowing one to be basking in the sun on Grace Bay, while sipping a Pina Colada in under four hours.
I had the pleasure of recently spending some time in Turks and Caicos and I would say though this is the low season ( June 1st – Nov 30th) I consider it the best time to visit if you are looking to avoid the crowds and also save money on hotels. High season is considered mid-December – mid April, hotel prices are higher and they’re more crowds. However, during high season you will find more restaurant open as several are closed during low season. Nonetheless, there are still plenty of things to see and do no matter when you visit.
One of the highlights of my recent trip to Turks and Caicos included staying at the Regent Grand which sits directly on Grace Bay beach in a prime location. This boutique property is somewhat removed from the hustle and bustle of other beachfront hotels, which adds to its charm. The Regent Grand is within walking distance to over a dozen restaurants, bars, shops and galleries which also helps to save on the cost of taxis. Complimentary hot/cold breakfast is also included in your room rate. Their spacious, well appointed suites are larger than the average NYC apartment!
Suites come equipped with full kitchens including high-end appliances and dishes, modern washer and dryer, and a dining room table. Not to mention, the spectacular views from oceanfront suites, which include complimentary golf at Provo Golf Club, considered one of the top golf courses in the Caribbean. You will also find a customized and heated infinity swimming pool, spa services, poolside bar, 400-thread count Egyptian cotton linens, LCD televisions and much more at the Regent Grand!
You are truly stepping into paradise when you step on the grounds of the Regent Grand. Don’t just take my word for it, plan your next trip to Turks and Caicos and see for yourself why this property has received numerous awards and recognition including:
4 star Diamond AAA rating for 4 years
# 1 spot of Luxury Hotels in Turks & Caicos in U.S News Rankings (2013-2014)
5 successive Trip Advisor Traveler’s Choice Awards
Whether you are traveling solo for that much needed getaway, with a group of friends or your significant other, Turks and Caicos and the Regent Grand has something for everyone.
