One South Beach, Our New Fav
Miami Swim Week happened this past weekend and it is one of my favorite events of the year. This year, it was myself, Denise and our friend Oriana Lamarca, jewelry designer. The last time Denise and I were in Miami we stopped into One Hotel for brunch at Tom Colicchio's restaurant, Beachcraft and absolutely loved it. The second we walked into the hotel we said to each other, "we are staying here next time."
This was the weekend we decided to stay. When we arrived at the hotel we were so pleasantly greeted. We checked in at 10am, planning to not have a room for a bit, but to our surprised they had it ready to go. Access to the floors and rooms was by key only. We walked into a neutral tone, serene room with double beds. It had all the amenities you could imagine. Complimentary filtered water, coffee, and tea. Adorable ivory knit socks to stay cozy in at night, and a sweatshirt style robe. It was impeccably clean, and had a bed style couch on the balcony to lay out on.
We decided to grab lunch poolside on our first day. The lunch was delicious and the froze dangerously good. Although we did have work to do, we found time to relax by the rooftop pool and infinity pool. Every single staff member went above and beyond. We had samplings of coconut and strawberry water while we lounged.
When we stepped back inside we found Veuve Clicquot offering tastings of their Veuve Clicquot Rich. Purchasing bottles asap.
Late afternoon we decided to go shopping, just a little bit. They offered us the Tesla, which they have on site to provide complimentary rides around town for guests. Not a terrible way to get around town.
When we arrived back at the hotel they live band had started playing by the hotel bar and a crowd was gathering. Later at night when we arrived back from dinner we headed to the rooftop bar which was a scene not to be missed.
We definitely know where we are staying the next time we are in Miami.
