Summit House
I have been to The Summit House in Summit, New Jersey a few times now. It never fails to delight. Starting with the most precious salt and pepper dispensers on the table, its the little things. Service is exceptional and the food wonderful. The menu does change to keep it fresh but certain items stay longer than others.
I had the nicest piece of pan roasted halibut over quinoa one time and fresh broiled lobster more recently. They took the lobster out of the shell with is my kind of place and served it simply with a garlic butter and grilled lemons. For an appetizer I tried the cucumber salad which had fried chickpeas. I wanted an entire bowl of those to snack on.
We also tried the burrata it was creamy and delicious with garden fresh tomatoes. The desserts for me are slightly underwhelming but I did have the chocolate pudding with bananas and that was a delight. Over all it's my favorite new spot close to home.
