Get Vibrant, Hydrated Red Carpet Worthy Skin with The Method by Augustinus Bader
Celebrity Facialist, Lord Gavin McLeod-Valentine walks us through The Method by Augustinus Bader straight off the 2025 SAG Awards red carpet. It is all about skin prep and after seeing Zoe Saldaña, Florence Hunt and Edgar Ramirez glow we needed to know the exact steps to get red carpet-worthy skin. We love everything about it down to the final step, a meditation.
LORD GAVIN’S METHOD: SKIN PREP WITH AUGUSTINUS BADER:
Gavin starts by applying Augustinus Bader The Cleansing Balm, to clean skin, while delivering a gentle massage to release tension in the neck and jaw, and encourage blood flow.
Next, he applies Augustinus Bader The Foaming Cleanser to deeply penetrate the pores, followed by an Oxygen Infusion powered with hyaluronic acid, glycerin, squalane, and Vitamins A, C, E to build a reservoir of hydration.
Then, Gavin spritzes the face with Augustinus Bader The Face Mist. This helps to lock in moisture from the outset.
Next, applying Augustinus Bader The Face Oil, Gavin delivers a facial massage inspired by the ancient Japanese art of Kobido to activate the facial muscles and lymph nodes, followed by Effleurage to encourage the breakup of lymphatic drainage.
Next, apply Augustinus Bader The Hydrogel Face Mask, intended to visibly hydrate, plump and illuminate the skin. He then applies cryo sticks to work underneath the cheekbones and thread through the temple for increased lymphatic drainage.
Followed by The Hydrogel Mask, Gavin puts his clients under an LED light to tighten the fibers of the skin, lift and rhythmically contract the muscles. This is followed with a second round of Effleurage to remove any remaining congestion.
Gavin then applies the Augustinus Bader The Rich Eye Cream to wrap the ocular area in glow, resilience and resonance, ensuring under-eye makeup remains enlivened and refreshed all ceremony long.
The process is finished with a Radiofrequency treatment that settles the skin and a Contour Kinetic Suction. The results are then sealed with Augustinus Bader The Rich Cream.
Following this, Gavin applies Augustinus Bader The Eye Patches to prep and set the under eyes for the Makeup Artist.
As a last step, Gavin adds a few sprays of Augustinus Bader The Face Mist to set the glow at the end of the treatment.
