Meta Gala 2022 Style Recap
Once again another Met Gala has passed us by! This year, there were notable appearances made by the Kardashians, Jacob Elordi, Phoebe Bridgers, Conan Gray, and—my personal favorite, Blake Lively! Let's revisit some of the most iconic looks of last week’s event!
Emma Chamberlain
To start off, this year’s host, Emma Chamberlain flaunted a Louis Vuitton pale yellow top and long white skirt as she galavanted along the red carpet. In addition to a Cartier diamond headband, she also sported a choker with history: Bhupinder Singh’s—the Maharaja of Patiala—choker! Talk about a YouTuber wearing rich history!
Ashley Park
Next is “Emily in Paris” very own Ashley Park! Primarily known for her role as Mindy in the hit show, wore a sustainable hot-pink corset designed by Prabal Gurung with a feathered skirt. To top it off, she wore dangling diamonds on her ears with a layered necklace from Jacob & Co.
Billie Eilish
A truly Gilded-age look, singer Billie Eilish looked stunning in a mint green corset by Gucci to fit the theme! Her jewelry was also from a previous life, such as a diamond necklace from the 1900s and a diamond pendant earrings from the 1910s from Fred Leighton.
Regé-Jean Page
Bridgerton’s finest, Regé-Jean Page, looked dashing in a blue velvet Armani suit. Adding to his glam even more, Page wore a custom white gold, diamond, and aquamarine brooch to fit into the Gilded Era theme!
Jack Harlow
Every teenage girl’s current heartthrob, Jack Harlow walked into (and owned) the Met Gala with more confidence than ever. Having the guts to flirt with Emma Chamberlain, maybe it was his charm and curly hair paired with his Givenchy charcoal grey suit that gave him the boost he needed!
Blake Lively
And finally, my personal favorite… Blake Lively! Her dress left millions STUNNED by her effortless beauty and overall look. To start with the jewelry, Blake wore a pair of nude diamond earrings as well as a seven-rayed (in tribute to the Statue of Liberty) custom tiara with nude diamonds to embellish it as well. As for her transformative (literally and figuratively) dress, Lively stunned audiences in her architecture-inspired Versace gown, transforming her rose-tinted gloves into the color of the aged Statue of Liberty. Ryan Reynolds, of course, was supporting her all the way.
